newest program: 645 with amoila cesar

645 is still the newest Beachbody at home workout program (launched in July 19th 2021). It was created by Super-Trainer Amoila Cesar, who also created 6 Weeks of The Work and 4 Weeks of the Prep.

Beachbody’s 645 is unique because of the emphasis on building strength as well as functional mobility (aka flexibility and strength through your body’s full range of motion).

It uses larger cloth based resistance loops that help give even more resistance without rolling up on your thighs (hallelujah!) — personally, I see myself using the cloth resistance loops in workout programs that use the traditional mini elastic loops.

The Equipment You’ll Need To Complete 645:

dumbbells & the cloth based resistance loops (grab in the accessories bundle with VIP access) or in one of the bundles.

Details:

  • 6 days a week workout calendar for 13 weeks

  • 45 minute workouts

  • 4 full-body strength workouts, 1 mobility workout, and 1 cardio workout per week

  • Week 1 Looks Like: Lower Body Strength, Total Body Power, Mobility & Stability, Upper Body Strength, Total Body Tempo, & Cardio 45

    • remember: your pace is fast enough, if it takes you longer than one week to get all those workouts done — that. is. absolutely. fine.

  • Program focuses on strength training, cardio, and mobility work

  • Amoila is a trainer for celebs & NBA players #howcoolisthat

  • Take away: Build strength while focusing on mobility so it’s easier to recover (less soreness!) and feel strong & powerful. Really, who doesn’t want to feel like a badass first thing in the morning?

  • Beginner? The program includes modifier moves.

*VIP access required through November 19th, 2021. Once officially released to BOD library you can gain access to the program with the “workouts only” option.

Jennifer Jacob’s Job 1 Exclusive Summit Workout: Honest Review

I completed the Job 1 Exclusive Beachbody Summit Workout via my Beachbody on Demand (BOD) Membership.

I was SUPER excited to do this workout because Jennifer Jacob’s style seems to be a good fit for my personality: she brings it but isn’t overly talkative and she likes to add in some punches and who doesn’t feel like a powerful woman when throwing air punches first thing in the morning?

I was also excited about using more band loop moves because I really feel like they make my booty look cute & also strengthen it, which should be my #1 goal (but it isn’t because I enjoy having a NOT flat butt when I see myself in the mirror).

The workout was awesome, 30 minutes which is my perfect workout length, and my butt was on actual fire — so much so I’m surprised my smoke detectors didn’t go off (just kidding — ok that was a terrible joke).

When I write these reviews, I kind of feel like people are mostly looking for some validation before they try it — tell me it wasn’t awful, that it was entertaining, and just enough “oh I like that kind of style too,” that gets me a little more motivation to try it.

My biggest advice: watch the Job 1 Promo video below — if it peeks your interest, you will definitely dig the style of the Job 1 Summit Workout. The only catch is: you have to have a Beachbody on Demand or BODI Membership to try it.

Great news though friend, you can try it risk free for 2 weeks by signing up here (must pick the 3 month trial).

Try the Job 1 Summit Workout, my all time favorite program 21 Day Fix Real Time, or my newest obsession Liift 4 (that I’m doing right now aka September-October 2021) all included.

Looking for a quick win try Muscle Burns Fat — even if you don’t have the BOD rope (which I still highly encourage, because it makes it more fun!) you’ll get great results (abs, weight loss, strengthening, healthy bod, all the goodies).

So yes, I highly recommend Jennifer Jacob’s Job 1 Exclusive Summit Workout on BOD & honestly — I bet the rest of them are just as awesome. In six years, I haven’t been disappointed with a workout program yet. #truthbomb.

Which is crazy since I made fun of a neighbor who said she “worked out in her living room,” and I was like “I could never do that…” but what I was really thinking was “Gosh, that has to be so boring.” Fun fact: it’s way more fun to me than going to the gym x infinity.

*need a BOD membership & dumbbells + resistance loops

other summit exclusive workouts

There were other workouts that were streamed live by a ton of other supertrainers that I haven’t had a chance to try yet (you will never run out of home workouts or get bored for long, trust me!).

Here are the other workouts available (must have a BOD membership to access):

  1. Amoila Cesar's Exclusive 2021 Summit Workout (32 minutes): dumbells

  2. Autumn Calabrese's Exclusive 2021 Summit Workout (32 minutes): dumbbells

  3. Elise Joan's Exclusive 2021 Summit Workout (31 minutes): dumbbells, resistance loops

  4. Joel Freeman's Exclusive 2021 Summit Workout (31 minutes): no equipment

  5. Megan Davies Exclusive 2021 Summit Workout (26 minutes): dumbbells

  6. Idalis Velasquez's Exclusive 2021 Summit Workout (34 minutes): dumbbells

  7. Jericho McMathews Exclusive 2021 Summit Workout (31 minutes): dumbbells

  8. Shaun T's Exclusive 2021 Summit Workout (30 minutes): dumbbells

  9. The Superworkout (87 minutes): dumbbells, resistance loops

Sometimes, workouts do require minimal equipment. I’ve built up my home gym slowly over multiple years and you can too. Curious about my home gym equipment & what dumbbells/resistance loops I use? click here.

    • Unfortunately, there is only the promo discount and coach/preferred customer discounts are not applied to the MYX Fitness Bike.

  10. What makes the MYX Fitness bike a good purchase compared to peloton, scwhinn or bowflex?

From a personal perspective: In total honesty, we bought a bowflex C6 bike for my husband in January 2021; something about not being able to run outside for most of the year in Milwaukee, WI (snow until May??).

I am kind of bummed we have the bowflex bike and probably won’t grab the myx fitness bike because it would be weird to have two bikes, but we spent $984 (with a military discount, originally 1,154.00) and didn’t get a tv/monitor, we did opt for an exercise mat for $100).

At 1299$ the quality of bike that you get (from reading the specs) feels super superior, the swivel tv guys, is a GAME CHANGER for home workouts.

You can bet when we want an upgrade I’ll be convincing hubby to buy the myx fitness bike when it’s time instead of doing a second bowflex, also let’s be really clear: we’ll buy it because I’M THE ONE spending hours doing the research.

The other thing to mention, is that I don’t personally use the bowflex bike because I like guided workouts (& we didn’t have a peloton or other cycling streaming workout platform since I use BOD and #batman uses nothing because he’s a purist).

I will be using the bowflex bike to stream BODI live workouts to spice up my programs and/or between programs from BOD starting in September! Also, if you buy the myx fitness bike, can I come over and try it?! Seriously, email me if you’re in the midwest!

From a PT perspective: When the MYX Fitness CEO was talking about the bike he brought up specific hip width measurements that are the best in the market.

As a PT I could appreciate all the biomechanics he listed for having good alignment when riding and that they took that into account when creating it.

bodi by beachbody:

BODI is the newly announced beachbody on demand interactive, which will feature live classes including live spin classes that sync with the beachbody myx bike (which goes on sale september 21, 2021).

If you haven’t heard, Beachbody just went public after merging with two other companies: Myx Fitness and Forest Road Acquisition Corp.

You can even buy Beachbody stock under the ticker “BODY,” which I officially did in August 2021!

It was my very first individual stock purchase & I’m pretty darn excited about it — not because I have any expectations, but because I love the company and it’s a huge step in my wealth building journey.

I went with TD Ameritrade because #batman (my husband) had an account with them and it was honestly the easiest investment account I have ever set up (including the one I have with vanguard that was pretty easy).

…back to BOdi

BODI (pronounced body) will include live classes by super trainers, spin classes headed up in English and french by Jennifer Jacobs (who is a former senior peloton instructor).

Here are the biggest things to know:

Peppermint Mocha Coming Back November 2

Peppermint Mocha Shakeology returns, like those favorite christmas socks you only get to wear a few weeks out of the year — Peppermint Mocha is a must buy to get that sweet treat in the healthiest format you can.

Honestly, without Peppermint Mocha Shakeology I would seriously be drinking way to many starbucks lattes with their 440 calories and 54 grams of sugar (ouch).

With this, I can get the same sweet tooth craving but not feel that awful sugar crash or weird filmy tongue thing.

  • Equipment: Dumbbells are optional

  • 3 Workout Calendars: Regular, Intermediate, and Advanced so you can get the best results based on your personal level.

  • Shareable Moments that you can choose to do on Instagram

honest review of the let’s get up sample workout

I did the Let’s Get Up Sample Workout between completing 9 Week Control Freak Off The Wall Version (post coming soon) and Liift 4.

I wanted something chill and low key that wouldn’t make me too sore since I knew Liift 4 was going to be a little more intense.

I was a little nervous because honestly, dance workouts aren’t really my thing. I’ll be super transparent when I say, I have never completed a full dance workout program.

I have tried Cize, Country Heat, and now Let’s Get Up — but I haven’t done a full workout calendar of them. What can I say, I just like to lift heavy things.

But what I do love, is that they exist. Because in moments and seasons when I need something slower, still fun, little to no equipment, and less taxing on the body — dance programs are perfect.

I really thought I would be super awkward — because I’m not a dancer — although I do try to dance in my circus shows (when we live in an area that has a circus gym), it still is really difficult for me.

I found the little mini human on the screen that shows the dance move before you have to do it to be incredibly helpful. I also filmed my “routine,” at the end just to show ya’ll that literally anyone can have fun with this program or even just the sample workout if you need something different.

There is literally no rule that exists that says you cannot do a sample workout, enjoy it, and then choose to not do the whole program. YOU make the rules girlfriend and that’s the most sustainable way to go about your fit journey.

At the end of the day, I really had quite a lot of fun. The insanity intervals burned like wild and surprisingly I was pretty dang sweaty by the end of the 30 minutes. I breathed through the awkward parts, laughed at myself, and kind of felt like a better human afterward — and if that isn’t a surprising bonus I’m not sure what is.

  2. Let’s Get Up Veggie Haters Bundle

The 4 week gut protocol

Beachbody supertrainer and creator of the nutritional eating portion control program called Portion Fix, Autumn Calabrese has created a new four week program called The 4 Week Gut Protocol.

The program is based on Autumn’s own journey toward healing her gut and created to help others with similar issues in mind (anyone else saying hallelujah over here like me? #gutissueseverywhere).

The 4 Week Gut Protocol will help identify food triggers, promote general gut health and include a step-by-step elimination schedule to help people determine what specific types of foods might be causing digestive issues.

It also comes with a four week low-impact workout program called 4 Weeks For Every Body, that is designed to complete at the same time, but can also be done on it’s own for those just starting out in fitness.

The 4 Week Gut Protocol launches in March 2022 in the US, Canada, UK, and France.

4 weeks for every body

After creating 11 workout programs for Beachbody, Autumn Calabrese has realized there is ONE thing missing from Beachbody on Demand: A low impact, four day a week program that literally anyone can do.

The details:

  • 4 days per week 30 min/day or less

  • Workouts that are no impact, using simple exercises that leverage the benefits of time under tension

  • Focused on strength, mobility, and vitality

  • Can do with the four week gut protocol program or stand alone
