Did you know that a peppermint mocha from Starbucks has 440 calories and 54 grams of sugar? That’s a lot of sugar, like a lot a lot. Peppermint Mocha Shakeology only has 8 grams and still tastes amazing (in my opinion) — I’m definitely team blend with ice cubes and almond milk though!

We’re officially ready for our second book club in The Girl Squad, and if you are not yet a member, request access before December 12th because the book club zoom link is posted in the “pinned posts.”

The book we’re reading this month is 30 Lessons for Loving: Advice from the Wisest Americans on Love, Relationships, and Marriage, but you’re more than welcome to join us if you haven’t read the book yet.

Each zoom lasts 40 minutes and is really laid back where we discuss the book, tips we’re going to carry forward, and what resonated with each of us.

Sarah is picking the book for January, so make sure to come live to get the details! I have a feeling it’ll be fiction this time, which is kind of fun!

Kristin is picking the book for February, but the rest of the months are open so if you’re obsessed with reading & learning like us, definitely join us!

 

the girl squad high five habits books club zoom is november 14th 1pm pst (3pm cst)

If you’re not in The Girl Squad, you definitely should request access before November 14th because we are doing our first book club zoom & the link is posted in the “pinned posts.”

The only qualification for the girl squad is a BOD membership, so if you’ve got one of those & it’s linked (or you want it to be linked) to my account as your coach then request access & we can get you in asap.

We’re reading High Five Habits, a book by Mel Robbins on the power of high fiving yourself each morning in the mirror (it’s totally backed by fascinating science) and other tools you can use to encourage yourself instead of criticize yourself.

Trust me, we all do it — or we’ve all learned to it. So we can all UNLEARN to do it too. Because peace sign middle finger to that BS — side note: have you heard this song yet? #batman shared it with me years ago and it’s my “rebellion” anthem when I need one.

job 1 with jennifer jacobs sample workout available november 15th on bod

Job 1 is the newly announced program by Beachbody with Jennifer Jacobs, the former Peloton senior instructor. Job 1 will be available in December 2021.

There will also be a Job 1 BODi Live Sample Workout Event on November 22, 2021 if you have a BODI membership, be sure to mark your calendars!

If you’re curious about what workouts by Jennifer Jacobs will be like, definitely check out the summit job 1 workout in the BOD library or any of her cycling workouts that are on demand or live in the BODI membership.

645 releases to bod on november 19th

645 the newest Beachbody at home workout program which launched in July 19th 2021 and was created by Super-Trainer Amoila Cesar is no longer on VIP release starting November 19, 2021. This means that anyone with a Beachbody on Demand subscription can access 645 without any additional cost on the 19th.

If it’s before the 19th Amoila Cesar also created 6 Weeks of The Work and 4 Weeks of the Prep, which are already released to the BOD library at no extra charge.

Beachbody’s 645 focuses on building strength as well as functional mobility (aka flexibility and strength through your body’s full range of motion).

It uses larger cloth based resistance loops that help give even more resistance without rolling up on your thighs (hallelujah!) — personally, I see myself using the cloth resistance loops in workout programs that use the traditional mini elastic loops.

bodi by beachbody:

BODi is the newly announced beachbody on demand interactive, which features live classes (red ⚡) or scheduled on demand workouts (no red ⚡).

It includes live spin, weight lifting, yoga, barre, and cardio classes that sync with the beachbody myx bike (which can learn more about here) or can be streamed through any of the same devices BOD can be (roku, chromecast, apple/fire tv, bod app, or your computer). I personally love my roku.

BODi is an additional subscription that you can grab at any time, including trying it out via a $7 day pass. For more information on pricing, check out this blog post from Sept/Oct.

NEW: BODi Class times are being updated all the time!

  • Live Classes: Mondays through Fridays

    • 3AM (occasional), 10AM, 11AM, 12PM, 2PM, 4PM, 5PM, 6PM, 7PM PST *times vary based on day

      • 3 AM PST is 5 AM CST & 6 AM EST and is the earliest I’ve seen so far (they are trying to add more live early morning classes)

    • Look for the ⚡in red for actual live classes with BOD cast

  • On Demand Scheduled Classes: Monday-Sunday every 30 minutes

    • scheduled pre-recorded classes from 12AM-11PM

  • Full week schedule posted (sign up in advance or day of)

  • Classes are then transferred into the BODi on-demand library around one hour after streaming.

 


  1. What types of classes?

    • Barre, Pilates, Cardio, Core, Strength, Bootcamp, Yoga, Cycling and Meditation.

      • already has 66 cycling classes in the library within two months

    • Get organized and filter by class length & style (yay BB! #muststayorganizedformysanity).

Grab your ticket to Beachbody’s coach conference (beachbody summit) in St. Louis July 13-17, 2022 (aka this summer) for $165.

This is likely the lowest price of the year (the only other cheapest tickets are if you purchase within a few days of Summit ending for the next summit).

Tickets are normally $295, so it is a savings of $130.

Coming Winter / Spring 2022

2B Pregnant

2B Mindset, a healthy eating lifestyle philosophy and program that you can do at any age, weight, or starting point has created a specific program for pregnant women who want to eat healthy, called 2B Pregnant.

The program is created by a registered dietician, Ilana Muhlstein, who is a mom of three and has a history of losing 100lbs.

2B Pregnant is a “positive approach to eating delicious and satisfying food for a healthier pregnancy while creating the right mindset and a lifetime of healthy habits,” and consists of strategies to help women manage emotional & mindless eating, understand their cravings, and overcome food obstacles during their 40 weeks of pregnancy.

The program will be available in English, Spanish, and French — in the US, Canada, UK, and France in January 2022.

2B Pregnant will be an additional purchase outside of your BOD membership, pricing will be announced at a later date.

The 4 week gut protocol

Beachbody supertrainer and creator of the nutritional eating portion control program called Portion Fix, Autumn Calabrese has created a new four week program called The 4 Week Gut Protocol.

The program is based on Autumn’s own journey toward healing her gut and created to help others with similar issues in mind (anyone else saying hallelujah over here like me? #gutissueseverywhere).

The 4 Week Gut Protocol will help identify food triggers, promote general gut health and include a step-by-step elimination schedule to help people determine what specific types of foods might be causing digestive issues.

It also comes with a four week low-impact workout program called 4 Weeks For Every Body, that is designed to complete at the same time, but can also be done on it’s own for those just starting out in fitness.
